The aim of this site is to present our skills, capabilities and experience to assist organizations considering project development in Belize in their assessment of locally available services. Our Company Professional Engineering Services Limited is an established civil engineering consultancy based in Belize City, Belize, Central America. Since its formation in 1989, the company has built up a wealth of experience in the local construction industry which has proven to be of value to a wide range of Clients wishing to engage in design or construction activities in this country. Professional Engineering Services Limited was established in 1989 to provide, in the opinion of the founders, services lacking in Belize at that time, namely the provision of fully professional materials testing, civil engineering design and project supervision services. Initially the company offered quality control services and established an in-house materials testing laboratory which has remained to this day the only private facility of its type in the country. This has been utilized by most international consultants and contractors engaged in major construction projects in Belize. Equipment now includes a geotechnical drilling rig which can operate to soil depths of 15m and retrieve soil samples for further analysis. Laboratory staff are experienced technicians in their field. The scope of the organization was soon expanded to provide project supervision, soils investigation and structural design services, and office facilities were progressively developed to better serve clients. From inception, computers have been used to maximize efficiency and accuracy, and the company has for many years carried out all drawing works using AutoCAD. The office has 4 number high performance workstations connected via a local area network. Similarly, most concrete and steelwork designs are developed with the help of dedicated computer programs. Valuable survey experience utilizing GPS and Leica Total Station equipment was gained by our staff from our participation in the design survey carried out for 160km of the Southern Highway. Our survey crew equipped with data collector and a modern total station records information digitally for direct input into AutoCAD thus ensuring a high degree of accuracy. The company has over the years since its inception acquired varied experience from working closely with respected international consultants and has earned a reputation for professionalism and integrity in its field. |
